So, what's a life coach, anyway?

Well, to begin, I am a licensed mental health counselor, and I have my graduate degree in mental health counseling.

I am able and willing to help people navigate some of the more challenging parts of life like depression, anxiety, substance abuse disorders, etc. I can support families through the separation process, or help them navigate the blended family experience, along with a variety of other life obstacles.
However, sometimes people just want to talk to someone, to process their feelings in a healthy way, and receive some feedback from someone removed from their everyday lives. When receiving life coaching from me, I can give a lot of feedback, or very little feedback. It is all up to you! The life coach takes the cues from each client, and provides whatever is the right "recipe" for that person.
There are no clinical diagnoses with life coaching, or formalized interventions. With life coaching, I can be simply a supportive ear, helping people navigate life in a completely confidential setting! This guidance would be more like what a "neutral" friend would say than a clinical counselor. Life Coaching is a great pro-active investment in your overall health!! And there is never any worry about information getting back to someone. It can be a win:win for someone without the need for a mental health counselor. Whether you have needs that would be better served in my mental health counseling sessions, or if you would benefit from more of a life coach, why not invest in your well-being?
